Mission
ZambiaBetting is an independent review platform covering online sportsbooks accessible to Zambian players. We publish honest, screenshot-tested reviews and practical guides — no hype, no fake bonuses, no "guaranteed strategies."
We are not affiliated with any operator. We do not accept payment to inflate ratings. Some pages may include affiliate links — when they do, we mark them clearly and our rankings remain editorially independent.

- Player-protection and responsible-betting resources
Zambia-specific focus
Zambia is one of the few African markets with three active mobile money networks: MTN MoMo, Airtel Money and Zamtel Kwacha. Most regional review sites cover only the first two. We test all three on every operator we review — and surface the fact that, within our four-operator stack, only Betwinner supports Zamtel Kwacha at full depth.
We also cover the dual-track licensing reality: domestic operators licensed by the Lotteries and Gaming Board of Zambia (LGBZ), and international operators serving Zambian players from offshore under Curacao master licences. Both are documented separately so readers can make an informed choice.
Legal context
Online betting is legal in Zambia and regulated by the Lotteries and Gaming Board of Zambia (LGBZ). Domestic licences are issued to operators with a local presence. In parallel, international operators — including the four we review (Betwinner, 1xBet, Melbet, Linebet) — accept Zambian players from offshore under Curacao master licences. We document both tracks without endorsing one over the other.
Zambian residents are subject to a 25% withholding tax on gambling winnings under the Income Tax Act. We cover the tax mechanics on a dedicated legal page (publishing later in 2026).
Editorial independence
Our rankings are based on product quality — interface, payout reliability, mobile-money support, customer service — not on affiliate commission. When two operators pay similar commissions, the better product wins. This means our top picks reflect what we would actually use, not what pays best. See our editorial policy for the full methodology.
